Just posted the latest chapter of "The Dusk Descending, Book Two" to ff.net. I haven't given up on this story yet! :-)

A recent commission for several of my plush Cornettos made me realize that I never did post the improved versions to LJ.

Two new blue and green dragon designs (variations on my plush pattern by someone else) with a very interesting take on the wings, tails, and skins!

So, having been a Monkees fan for a couple of decades, I was saddened when Davy Jones passed away last week. It wasn't until a few days ago that I could bring myself to watch an episode or listen to their music again...but when I did, it made me smile so much it inspired me to make something cheerful and small and bright.

So I did a few pendants referencing their famous shirts with the double row of buttons, in the three most frequent colors they wore :-)

Wow, my deviantArt messages exploded this morning and at first I had no idea what had happened. My first Sherlock and John papercutting wound up getting a Daily Deviation today!

It was the first of many paper-and-knife experiments so I'm thrilled that people like it so much :-)

Well, I'm done reading damnyouautocorrect.com. Too bad, because the DYAC part of the site was good for a daily laugh, but the "wrong number" part of the site is getting far too mean-spirited and irresponsible for me to enjoy it in good conscience.

Submissions where someone gets a mis-dialed text but pretends to be the right party were never that funny anyway, but generally tolerable because they'd 'fess up after a reply or two. Now people are starting to keep up the pretense and feed strangers misinformation for hours at a time, just for their own amusement. Worst case I've seen so far was where a guy messed with someone's travel plans for an entire week before admitting to them that he wasn't who they thought they were texting.

The moderators apparently find it funny as well, or just don't care. Either way, I'm done with the whole site.

Check out the cool new yellow-and-blue dragon, now in the Dragon Gallery! I never get tired of seeing people bring the dragons to life in their own ways.

Wow, I'm so happy my plush dragon pattern made it to Etsy's front page a second time! It was part of this gorgeous treasury.

Again I didn't get to see it on the FP myself, as I logged in just an hour or two after it had gone, but from the number of views/faves I suspected something was up so I went and checked and :-)

Look what [livejournal.com profile] tainry made me for Xmas!

My boss got me a book, so a new bookmark is perfect. Thanks [livejournal.com profile] tainry! <3 <3

There's a lovely new "translucent-skinned" dragon added to my Gallery of Dragons Made with My Pattern (scroll down to bottom of entry).

I love the creative ideas people come up with!

Why do I have the urge to break out every five minutes into full-scale, movie-musical song?

...oh right.

Whoa! My plush green dragon (currently available only as a pattern) was featured on the front page of Etsy last night as part of this lovely treasury:

My plush Metallicar pattern is in that treasury too, but was not in the group of items that were front-paged.

Didn't get to see my dragon on the front page myself, since Etsy had already moved on to a new set by the time I got home. Still, I'm so pleased!

Getting ready to put up the beginning of Book II of "The Dusk Descending," but first I have to go back and fix all the mind-bogglingly stupid formatting errors that FF.net in their infinite wisdom introduced some time ago. That means completely re-uploading all forty chapters of Book I. (Eventually I'll fix all my other stories--about sixty chapters' worth total--but one thing at a time.)

Am going to bed tonight with cellphone, keys, and multiple flashlights piled on my nightstand, just in case.

All those of you in the path of Irene, stay safe and dry <3
