I am working on a film set in NYC in 1864. We have a lot of street scenes and I want to fill up the air with the sound of the news boys.
I have lots of access to the headlines of the day and I'm hoping you can give me some ideas on how the boys elaborated on the headlines as they called them out.
How did they pitch them? What was the language? What did they say to make the headlines for interesting?
Thanks, I look forward to hearing from you.
