Oh, all right. At least this is amusing.

I sincerely doubt I'll ever watch the big-screen Garfield, but this article on CNN.com made me laugh: The article's writer slips in the line "Cats and dogs, living together"--a wink to Bill Murray, whose Peter Venkman said those words in Ghostbusters.

Kinda strange, though, that none of the admittedly-few articles I've read on the movie mention Lorenzo Music, original voice of the animated Garfield and hands-down the coolest voice job ever done for an animated orange cat (though Antonio Banderas comes close). Seriously, though, Music possessed a remarkable set of vocal cords and he'll forever be missed.

Music also voiced the animated Venkman on The Real Ghostbusters (an early fandom of mine, in my pre-discovering-organized-fandom days). Now it's Murray's turn. I'm sure that's not entirely coincidence, and yet I'm surprised there hasn't been more mention of it.
