I haven't kept up with Baz news lately (well, for a year at least it seems), but his La boheme closed on B'way at a loss? Aw, no! His 1990 stage version with the Australian Opera--which I saw long before I knew the man even made movies--was what single-handedly made me do a 180 on my opinion of opera and I was instantly hooked. I was so looking forward to seeing it live at last in the States, but now...
