Did this on a 1" solid wood block.





Been a while since I did one of these. This time around, I had fun experimenting with something other than decoupage (my usual method). It also meant that without paper edges I could sand the finished block all the way to 2000 grit, so it feels wonderfully smooth.

Credit where it's due: For the little icons I started with clip art from public domain sources, then modified them. Except the last one, which is mine.

Aw thank you, this was such a fun project!

I'll likely wind up making some more since people have expressed interest...For people who are very sure they want one, I can reserve some, since I can only make so many at once.

This will be a couple dollars more than the older blocks since this is an improved technique...just so you know.
