What happened, ff.net? Chapter XXI of TDD has vanished, as though it never even existed. And I have no idea when this happened.

(I have to admit it's a little bit of a blessing in disguise. My author's note, on second read, was a touch on the petulant side. And yet...)

I'll give ff.net some time to stabilize and then post again later in the week.

Visited the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago this weekend. I looked for info on the two WWII fighter planes hanging from the ceiling, couldn't find any, and tried to ID them by sight. I couldn't come up with anything more definite than a sheepish "One's probably a Spitfire and the other looks like something German." I may have an interest in WWII fighter planes, but most of what I learn about them tends to go in one ear and out the other, much to my chagrin.

Imagine my shock when I googled them today to find that they are indeed a Spitfire and a JU-87 Stuka. Oh yeah, I'm going to enjoy my five minutes of near-triumph.

Love the plane story! That's great. :D

And speaking of Chicago... do you live around there normally? I'll be over there (moreorless) in late October for a conference (out at Fermilab). It would be fun to hook up for dinner or something! ^^;

Hee. Although the Stuka is actually a dive-bomber so I can't call it a "fighter plane."
