This is the third plush car I've designed (and my first that isn't fannish!), this time as a commission. She was very happy with it, which makes me happy, too :-)

No. 11 in my series of plush toys.

It's a 2007 Chevrolet Monte Carlo!

As with all the other cars I've done, the headlights glow in the dark. I was in a rush to send out the car and didn't have time to try for a photo with the lights out.

This was based on a real car, which is why I've pixelated the license plate. The plate itself looks crooked in the photo, but it's something to do with the camera angle; it looks fine in person.

It was a lot of work, but I'm really pleased how this baby turned out.

That's really cool! :) How big is it? Is it just for decoration, or can it be used as a pillow?

Thanks! It's a little over 11" long. I wouldn't lean too much weight on it, but it would look great on a sofa. That's where my plush Chevy Impala (http://ldhenson.livejournal.com/170784.html) sits.

Aw, thanks. When I made that one, I swore I'd NEVER do another car because it was so much work. Well, you can see how that turned out...

Aw, Dean would so approve! Of both the cars (but mostly his baby. ^_~) Bravo!

Haha, I'm a real wuss when it comes to watching the spooky stuff on SPN, so a huggable Metallicar was just what I needed :-)

Oh, I hear that! I'm three episodes behind this season, just from fear of all the angst and spookiness! ^_~ A snuggable Metallicar would be perfect!

Oh yay, you just made me feel normal! ♥ lol I think I was scarred from last season (although, I have to admit, Yellow Fever made up for quite a bit of the heartbreak of the past *gigglefit*)

Very cool! What a great job you did on this one. Congratulations on finishing it. I'm sure the person you did it for will be very happy with it.

Thanks dear! There's always a bit of pressure when doing a car for someone who knows cars well, but I like how this came out. It was commissioned as a surprise present for the actual owner of the car, so I hope he likes it!

Very, very impressive. My older brother races sports cars, he owns one of the fastest Corvettes in the US. Could you email me at miriamboltman at gmail dot com and let me know if you're still willing to take on commissions at this time and other necessary details? Thanks so much!

Thanks for noticing that about the hood! Cars often have interesting shapes which look simple enough in metal but are a real challenge to translate to felt.
