Paper snowflake no. 6.

Ankh-Morpork! Ankh-Morpork! So good they named it Ankh-Morpork!

Closer to real size:

As a longtime Discworld fan I really enjoyed doing this one. Because it's packed pretty full of specific shapes, this was the first snowflake where I had to sketch out everything before cutting, just to make sure all the pieces fit in (usually I improvise the non-shaped cuts). It was a tight squeeze, but it worked. As with the others, this was a folded scissors cut.

In honor of the fair River Ankh, it's on a sludgy brown background.

Ankh:

A morepork:

Do you see the letters "AM" under the owl?

There's also a nod to Pterry's hats atop the ankh.

Flake measures 8 5/8" wide.

Echoing a great many others, but wonderfully done!

Especially apt as I'm currently listening to Feet Of Clay (with all the coat of arms references) at the moment.

Thank you!

Some of my favorite scenes are where the coats of arms are described/explained. Packed with puns in only the way that Pterry can do them.
