I took a bit of a break from the snowflakes because, believe it or not, I bruised a finger or something because I was using my scissors so much. Whatever it was, it stung whenever I tried to exert pressure on the grip. It didn't help that I was making a commissioned Top Gear cushion, full of fiddly little bits to cut, at the same time.

But my finger's better and the cushion's finished (yay!) so I went back to a design I'd been working on before I'd started my Ankh-Morpork flake. This was my first flake to require a do-over, because after all Mr. J. A. Roebling did in fact know what he was doing and the last thing the beautiful shape of the towers needed was to be interrupted by too many flashy cuts.

For the record, you got me a) cutting randomized snowflakes (I'll try to get photos of the ones me and the friends I live with did - vastly different, and probably as useful as handwriting for exploring personality types) and b) trying to actually follow through on crafty stuff, which is why this morning I skipped church to try out bookbinding.
