Was tipped off by this week's issue of Entertainment Weekly, went and looked online and found:

The Hollywood Reporter reports that Christian Bale and Hugh Jackman are in talks to star in Touchstone's "The Prestige." Christopher Nolan is set to direct. The script is based on the Christopher Priest novel. Nolan's brother, Jonathan, wrote the adaptation.

The two actors would play rival magicians in turn of the century London. Their battle for trade secrets eventually turns them into murderers.

The movie will begin shooting in January with a budget in the $40 million range.
