Yeah, I don't even know.

Just for scale, my knife there in the last pic is 5.25".

The usual paper-cutting parameters: cut all as one piece (from cardstock) and then folded; no adhesives; cutting and folding only.

Also, somebody please send help.

John is SO John.

I am slightly at a loss at to how this relates to the original flat piece of paper it began life as (if that makes any sense?), but that actually makes it a fascinating puzzle in addition to hilarious and awesome.

Also, I have the correct icon for this one.

Incidentally, I've begun playing with papercutting myself - currently words, but mostly I am discovering how a) I need more practice, and b) that I need a knife with a much smaller point - I find I want to hold it very close to the tip, which is a terrible idea with a plan exacto... Yours looks more suited to the purpose.

Thank you! You're right, figuring out how to "lift" Sherlock from the surface of the slide, while still keeping enough paper together to assemble the slide itself, was definitely a challenge. To my surprise John proved just as difficult, but for other reasons.

Yay for more paper-cutting! Interestingly I'm used to holding my knife pretty high up. Never really thought about it before, but I suppose that how it's turned out. The knife in the pic was an Xmas gift, and the tiny blade is nice for tight curves. I swap between it and my sliding exacto's depending on which feels more comfortable. It's different for everyone, I guess. Are you going to post your cuttings?
