Have had NASA TV on pretty much non-stop since my last post. I don't remember there being such a convenient Ustream last year when I more or less did the same during STS-132 ("final" flight of Atlantis), that is when I could access the streaming video at all. Now I have it running at all hours. What's not to love? It's lots of live footage! FROM SPACE!
Press conference for the loss of the Glory satellite was pretty tough to watch, though. It was clear how devastated the team was. Replay will be at 2 p.m. CST.
Last night they replayed handheld video of Discovery's final rollout to the launchpad, as shot by/with three shuttle astronauts (from earlier missions). I don't know, one might think that since they're so familiar with and work with this kind of thing every day they might be less impressed by the sight, but they were giddy as schoolkids. It was awesome.
ETA: I want pants with velcro strips on so I can stick things to myself.
