Family Channel isn't rerunning their Smallville Backstage special? But they're cable! Isn't rerunning their own specials a hallmark of cable, or something? Unless they've already rerun it multiple times and I just happened to catch the final .4 airing, in which case, sobbing will ensue.

I've managed one, count 'em, one episode of SV this season, and that was the season premiere. No, I tell a lie, I missed the first 20 minutes or so. I haven't even made it through one complete episode.

Ask me why.

Oh heck, I'll just tell you.

It begins with an L and ends in S, and has a huge OI in the middle.

Also, pretty-but-13-year-old-looking Lana lying presumably unclothed beneath an artfully--oh dear, it's like something out of a student film--draped sheet just ooks me out in all kinds of unpleasant ways.

I taped the second episode, couldn't get past the pre-credits bit.

I think I missed the third. That is, if there's been a third. Or a fourth.

But this special? Michael Rosenbaum, aka 95% of my reason to tune in, getting to be his charming, devastatingly funny self in the company of Tom Welling and John Glover? MR behind the scenes always brings The Funny; I love the BTS done by a Canadian (?) station a few years ago, in which he demonstrated just how cinematically convincing the cellar set is. Oh, this could have rekindled my dwindling-since-third-season love, now when I'm just on the border and teetering off.

And I missed it.
