Please don't...Make your horses
a) whimper
b) pant, without being in any kind of distress
c) have black blazes
d) purr (!)

Please don't...Have your 19th-century cowboys use a term like "sexual harrassment," especially when describing the behavior of one man towards another.

Been getting some very nice "I want one" comments for my Riven beetle reproduction over at Mystcommunity...combined with the reception it got on myst_library, maybe I ought to think about making them to sell. Not sure yet. I actually made the thing a couple years ago, so it's been a while since I looked at it closely. I could probably make others by carefully taking this one apart and making a mold of it.

Mostly, though, I have no idea how to ship it.

Well, not too regularly, thank goodness. There's quite a lot of writing in this fandom (M7) so, while many writers know what they're writing about, you'll also come across some who could've done a bit more research. The above examples all came from different writers.

I also saw a fic in which a calf was treated as though it were about the size/weight/shape of a medium-sized dog. Just...no.

Okay, now that's just scary.... o.O M7 fanfic, I presume? I wonder if they've ever even seen a horse in real life.

Yep, M7. Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of good fics in this fandom...but there are also some writers who seem to think horses are just big dogs or cats. I don't know whether to laugh or cry...
