Help me, I can't stop making TG things.

My latest bit of stitchery:

top gear cushion

I'd actually been meaning to do this one for a while, and had in fact gotten as far as figuring out the pattern pieces when the idea to make a plush Oliver came along and I wound up doing that instead. But after I finished that and a couple other things I was supposed to be stitching, I finally sat down and made this.

It keeps me company when I watch TV. Alternatively, I can hold it up in front of the screen and pretend TG is on (guess who doesn't get BBC America anymore...sob...)

ETA: Some people have requested a pattern/instructions, so I've put together one to share for free. Drop me a note at lynnedhenson @ yahoo if interested.

Ha, I do love the idea of a bunch of guys being happy with TG pillows on their carrier!

I'd be happy to make more if people want them, but I'm up to my elbows in sewing commissions so I need to find a way to schedule them in. I also need to make sure it stands up to everyday use first, and I'm thinking about scaling it a little bigger (it's 12" across, bit small maybe).

A pattern is also do-able I think. Which would you prefer: finished cushion or a pattern?

Pattern should be just wonderful, possibly with a suggestion for the proper size, material, etc for the pillow to attach it to?

Sound good?

Okay, I'll see what I can do. The other patterns I'm working on are in the $15-$20 range, but since this one is less complex, how does $4 sound?

I made the entire cushion by hand, but it might also work as something you could slip over an existing cushion, if that's what you're thinking of?

That should work - maybe Etsy would be a good place to offer it?

I don't have an Etsy shop...maybe in the future, but for now handling requests individually has worked fine so far :-)

Don't worry about sending anything yet, let me go mull it over and knock out a workable pattern.

You know what, I've changed my mind--I'm not going to charge for this pattern. It would have covered my time, but what the heck, I'm going to share the TG love. I'll see what I can put together in the coming week.
