When the 2009 Sherlock Holmes movie came out, I did a set of customizable text pendants. Now for Sherlock 2010 I wanted to do something similar, but give it a contemporary twist.

I've had this idea for weeks, but it was only last night that I found the right size drill, and...

Preview:

I love that Sherlock loves his chemistry, so I used real screw-top test tubes (the plastic variety). I drilled holes in the caps so that I could hang them.

It holds tiny things like tic-tacs quite nicely :-)

I distressed the labels a little--after all labs are hardly pristine!

I nestled a little glass bead in the cap for a spot of color.

Tubes and caps, not counting the hanging loop/clasp, are slightly over 4.5 cm long.

Those are really cool.

(I must go remind myself that I have a pill box already and do not need a pill test tube for my painkillers.)

Thank you!

(test tube + pill) = (chemistry + medicine) = (Sherlock + John) ♥

Hahahah. I hadn't thought of it that way, but yes!

My pill test tube would be slashtastic.

Alas, I don't think there's an appropriate quote anyway for a bottle to contain things what do not do anything interesting to my brain except stop me being in too much pain to think. (I hate arthritis.)

Do want! In fact, not only do I want some of these, I also want some of the other, older, movie-Sherlock text pendants. D:

Don't know if you're taking commissions on either/both, but if so, would you care to PM me about it?

If you decide to actually sell these - please let me know. I'm fairly certain my mum would love one as a prezzie.
Yes, I suck everyone I know into my fandoms, including my mum.

Do you still take commissions on the 09 movie ones? Both versions are gorgeous, but the older ones really caught my fancy. :) Would be great if you'd PM me to let me know?

Those are brilliant - gorgeous and such a great idea! Going to stalk your journal now. 8D

If you start up commissions on the older variety (digging the aged-paper look), I'd be very interested in at least one. If I could afford it, I'd have you come do my walls like that, omg. GORGEOUS.

Thank you very much! I never get tired of working with vintage (or at least faux-vintage) ephemera.

I'm still offering the older style. I'll PM you.
