When the 2009 Sherlock Holmes movie came out, I did a set of customizable text pendants. Now for Sherlock 2010 I wanted to do something similar, but give it a contemporary twist.

I've had this idea for weeks, but it was only last night that I found the right size drill, and...

I love that Sherlock loves his chemistry, so I used real screw-top test tubes (the plastic variety). I drilled holes in the caps so that I could hang them.

It holds tiny things like tic-tacs quite nicely :-)





I distressed the labels a little--after all labs are hardly pristine!





I nestled a little glass bead in the cap for a spot of color.

Tubes and caps, not counting the hanging loop/clasp, are slightly over 4.5 cm long.

(I must go remind myself that I have a pill box already and do not need a pill test tube for my painkillers.)

Hahahah. I hadn't thought of it that way, but yes!

My pill test tube would be slashtastic.

Alas, I don't think there's an appropriate quote anyway for a bottle to contain things what do not do anything interesting to my brain except stop me being in too much pain to think. (I hate arthritis.)
